The Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan summed up the results of the competition for the collection of spent power sources in schools and kindergartens of Tatarstan. Schoolchildren and kids of the republic from September to December 2023 disposed of 21 tons of 222 kg of batteries.

In the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, an environmental campaign "Hand over batteries together with Duracell" was held. As a result of the efforts of schoolchildren and preschoolers, 282.12 kg of used power supplies were collected.

In connection with the current sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Russian Federation, the second stage of the campaign “Collect batteries with Duracell” in general educational organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan was postponed to the fall of 2020.

We continue to summarize the results of the first stage of the campaign on collection of spent batteries in educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. Pupils of the Drozhzhanovskiy and Nurlatskiy districts took an active part in this event. In total, 152 kg were collected by Nurlatskiy schoolchildren during the collection period, and 196 kg of batteries were collected by the Drozhzhanovskiy school pupils.

The first stage of the campaign for collection of waste batteries was completed in the schools of the Leninigorskiy district. For two months, pupils collected used current sources in special packages provided by Durasel Russia. During the event, almost 750 kg of batteries were collected.

The second stage of a large-scale campaign to collect and dispose of batteries is continuing. The event is supported by Durasell Russia LLC. The results of the campaign for selective collection of batteries will be announced in June 2020 as part of the campaign “Ecological Spring 2020”. The most active pupils and schools will be rewarded with valuable prizes.
