The competition for the collection of spent power sources in educational institutions of Tatarstan was launched in 2019. Thanks to the comprehensive infrastructure created in the region, about 60 tons of used batteries are sent for recycling annually.
According to the national Ecology project, to collect 60% of all used batteries, which is equivalent to 353 tons for Tatarstan, about 1,000 containers in retail outlets, 4,000 containers in the housing and communal services, and at least 700 containers in educational institutions are needed.
To date, Tatarstan has created all the necessary infrastructure to meet the established indicators.
