Librarians from different parts of the republic gathered in small town of Rich Saba. A republican methodological seminar on the topic "Ecology and youth: the role of the library in the formation of ecological culture” was held here.

The event began with a park area next to the district library, where the guests were greeted by animated characters from the works of Gabdulla Tukay. There were also staged female images from the poet's life with the performance of the author himself. The guests were given a guided tour, familiarized with the history and activities of the library, and demonstrated new opportunities for readers.

During the official part of the seminar, the participants discussed the formation of ecological culture as one of the priority areas of library activities. In particular, this is environmental education through the organization of mass events, improvement of information work, assistance in environmental protection activities to authorities and public associations. The seminar was accompanied by presentations of representatives of model libraries of the republic, as well as speakers on projects planned for implementation.

Specialist of the Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Bilalov, who was also present at the seminar, noted that libraries have already occupied their niche in shaping the ecological worldview of children and adolescents. "These are our essential assistants in carrying out all environmental activities," he added.

The second part of the event continued on the Yamle Saba embankment. Here, the guests were presented with an exhibition of useful plants of the Sabinsky district, books by fellow countrymen inspired by the beauty of these places, as well as folk rituals and traditions of the Tatar people.
