Today, Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin held a working meeting with the heads of Tatarstan enterprises of the SIBUR Group, Ayrat Safin (Kazanorgsintez) and Marat Falakhov (Nizhnekamskneftekhim).
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Russian Ecological Society Rashid Ismailov.
They discussed the environmental agenda of the enterprises and the environmental measures they are implementing. Let us recall that Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Kazanorgsintez are the flagships of environmentally oriented enterprises in Tatarstan, they were among the first to open their air quality monitoring data, they pay great attention to the modernization of production facilities and the introduction of the best technologies in the field of environmental safety.
In addition, with the support of Kazanorgsintez, a project for the Revival of the Saker Falcon, a project for the reconstruction of water protection forest strips and many other environmental awareness activities are being implemented. Nizhnekamskneftekhim is actively engaged in the replenishment of aquatic biological resources. In three years, 800 thousand sterlet fry have been released into the waters of the Kama River.
The meeting also discussed the implementation of the national project "Environmental well-being". Special attention was paid to the development of the Tatarstan branch of RES and its role in the dialogue between government, business and society to solve environmental problems.
