The project of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan "Ecology at school" became the winner in the nomination "The best educational project in the field of ecology", and the project to improve the ecological state of rivers and reservoirs of the Republic of Tatarstan was declared the best in the nomination "The best promising project and development". The winners were awarded today in Moscow. Receiving diplomas, Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov in his speech thanked the organizers of the All-Russian competition for their appreciation and the opportunity to talk about the work that is currently being carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as to learn from other regions. "Tatarstan is always ready to learn and move forward. It is very important for us to be able to implement the best practices and best practices of our colleagues from other regions. Today we presented two projects. One of them is a pilot project to improve the Kazanka River. The project is very popular, because we have more than 36 thousand water bodies in the republic and today we are responsible for them to the future generation." Alexander Shadrikov stressed that using the example of the Kazanka River, this project can be broadcast to other reservoirs of the country, because everyone has typical problems. The Ministry of Ecology is ready to share the results of the work with colleagues from other regions.
The second project that received the highest rating at the competition is the educational project "Ecology at school". "Today, on behalf of our President Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, we are placing great emphasis on environmental education. We already have environmental classes in 103 schools. "Ecology" as a subject is now taught in grades 1 and 5, textbooks for grades 2 and 6 are ready. In many schools, we create young naturalists detachments. This is exactly what Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin supported – to revive the young naturalists movement," the head of the Tatarstan environmental protection agency said. Now in Tatarstan, more than 2,000 thousand schoolchildren have joined the young naturalist movement
The All-Russian competition for the selection of the best regional environmental practices "Reliable Partner – Ecology" is held by the Association "Reliable Partner" together with the "Russian Ecological Society" with the support of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management.
The competition "Reliable Partner — Ecology" was organized in order to assist federal and regional government authorities in the effective implementation of the National Project "Ecology" in terms of identifying the most successful and effective environmental regional practices and projects for their further replication and scaling throughout the country.
The Contest "Reliable Partner — Ecology" is officially supported by: the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Government of the City of Moscow.

The project activities are planned for implementation in 2022-2024 on the territory of the Kazanka River basin in the Republic of Tatarstan with the subsequent possibility of expanding the geography of application of the project developments in relation to water bodies in other regions of the Russian Federation.
As of today, as part of the first stage, the contractor has begun work on conducting geographical research. In order to obtain up-to-date information on the qualitative and quantitative composition of the surface waters of the Kazanka River and its tributaries of the 1st order, a schedule for water sampling, composition and scope of research has been coordinated. During the main phase of the spring flood, daily sampling was carried out at three sites. According to the results of daily monitoring of Kazanka pollution, it was found that during the spring flood, the content of pollutants that are part of fertilizers for agriculture increases many times. Currently, the work of the first stage continues.
