Drainage channel for storm water removal on the territory of Buinsk was examined by inspectors of Trans-Kama territorial department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Republic of Tatarstan in the course of a raid. The violation was revealed near the Kazan-Ulyanovsk highway: to the left of the drainage channel there is a system of recycling water supply of “Buinsky sakhar” LLC with water-cooling ponds, and the fact of discharge of wastes from water-cooling ponds to the local territory, namely to the drainage channel, relating to water exploitation was revealed, which led to soil littering on the area of 150 square meters. In the course of administrative investigation, fellow workers of special inspection of analytical control drew samples of soil and water for laboratory analysis. The protocols on administrative violations were drawn up against a legal person and an official according to Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

The Republican nature protection, ecological and educational campaign “Lesson of Cleanliness” was held at the end of December at educational establishments of Tatarstan, and it was devoted to the Year of Environmental Culture and Nature Protection. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, 149,239 pupils participated in the campaign. The campaign was organized in the form of class hours, active events through play and creative work. For instance, the following events were held in Alkeevsky municipal district:

1st-4th forms – an educational environment-oriented game “There, on unknown paths”, and a talk on such topics as “Nature is our home”, “We are nature’s friends”

Today, experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized with the operating line on processing of plastic waste into granulate of “TechEngineeringGroup” LLC.
Advanced processing of waste, the possibility to process any type of plastic including contaminated containers that earlier contained engine oil, as well as the use of closed circle of water supply in the manufacturing process can be referred to the advantaged of the given technology.
Samples of final products obtained from plastic granulate were demonstrated in the course of the inspection. They include polyethylene and polypropylene drain pipes, pipes for cable installation (cable channels), and perforated drain pipes used for land reclamation, all of which are highly demanded on the market.

Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov met with the national coordinator of the UNIDO project in Russia, Boris Melnichuk. The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Magdeev, Director of the Federal State Institution for the Water Sector “Sredvolgavodkhoz” Foat Mukhametshin also took part in the meeting. During the meeting they discussed the project envisaging holding of the events on restoration of water protection areas of the Nizhnekamsk and Kuybyshev reservoirs. The Republic of Tatarstan supports business relationship with UNIDO.

An extended meeting of the Department and Administration of the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources for Volga Federal District was held today in Kazan, where the results of the year 2013 were summarized. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Head of the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources for Volga Federal District Anatoly Shatalov, Head of the Administration of the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources for the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khayrutdinov, Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took part in the meeting. Participants familiarized with the exhibition of information and presentation platforms of companies and organizations, whereof the activity is aimed at implementation of projects in the field of ecology.

The Federal State Information System for public control of nature protection of the Russian Federation “Our nature” was created for the purposes of development of efficient mechanism of public control, monitoring of the burning problems, consideration of public opinion and creation of the feedback with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. Analogous systems “People’s control” and “State ecological surveillance” have been operating in the Republic of Tatarstan since April 2012. In November 2012, the systems were presented in Moscow to the Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy, by the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov.

On January 13, the program “Scrim of facts – A New Day” on the radio station “State Television and Radio Company of Tatarstan” was devoted to the ecological matters. The Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilkham Sabirov told about the results of the Year of Ecological Culture and Nature Protection. He noted that the tasks set before the Ministry for 2013 were fulfilled to the fullest extent: mass events of educational and informative nature were held along with the events on enhancement of the environment of the Republic of Tatarstan. The program was broadcasted live, and more than ten calls were received with questions and gratitude to the Ministry of Ecology. The questions were taken under control by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

TheleadingexpertoftheDepartmentforEcologicalAwarenessandInteractionwithPublicOrganizationsundertheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstanElenaGilmizyanovawas awarded with a Certificate of Merit of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate for the Republic of Tatarstan for long-term cooperation and assistanceprovided to the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate under the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan in holding the events aimed at road traffic safety. The Certificate was given today at the Administration ofthe State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate for the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov met with representatives of the company“TechEngineeringGroup” LLC that provides a complex of engineering and consulting services aimed at development of projects for the startup of production lines on processing of plastic material, as well as processing and recovery of production and consumption waste. The possibilities of implementation of innovation technologies on processing of production and consumption wastes in the Republic of Tatarstan were discussed during the meeting.

The concluding meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was held on December 27. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov summarized the activity of the Ministry. Moreover, the report on the results of work of the Public Council in 2013 was heard, and suggestions for the year 2014 were made.
The next meeting of the Council is planned for January 2014.
