February 2ndis celebrated as the World Day of swamplands. The events carried out on this day are meant to attract attention to the importance of swamplandsin order to maintain sustainable development of our planet.
TheConventiononswamplandsofinternationalimportancepredominantlyasthehabitatof swimming birds was signed in 1971 on February 2nd, in Ramsar (Iran), and since then it has been called the Ramsar Convention.

TheFourthAll-RussianEcologicalFilmFestival “MeridianofHope”, established by the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources and the Filmmaking Union of St. Petersburg in 2011, willbeheldfromApril 21stuntilApril 24thinSt. Petersburg. Theeventisaimedatattractionofcitizens’ attentiontotheproblemsofpreservationoffavorableenvironment, unification of national filmmakers creating environment-oriented films, as well as fostering of the ecological mindset and ecological culture.

The meeting of the panel of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service for the Republic of Tatarstan was held today at the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Korston” with participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov.
The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, gave a report on interaction of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service with the Ministry of Ecology. He acknowledged that the database created by the Ministry on emissions into the air of Kazan, stationary sources of municipal companies and traffic flow, as well as measurements of the content of pollutants in the air of the city made by the Ministry and the Administration of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service were used for elaboration of the complex of measures necessary for provision of high quality air in the course of preparation for the Universiade and its holding.

The website of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was rated the 3rd in the category “The best website in Tatar”. The prizes were distributed today during the final panel of the Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency (“Rosnedra”) planstocreateaspecializedonlineportalfor subsurface users and representatives ofgeological organizations where one will be able to sign in to a “personal account”. Itwillallowtogainaccesstothedataontheprogramsofreplacement of the mineral raw material base, the state ofsubsurface use conditions and design documentation, as well as statistical and analytical information. Subsurfaceuserswillbeabletosend requests and suggestions to the “Rosnedra” with regard to inclusion of subsurface allotments into the licensing program andprograms ofgeological prospecting work at the expense of the federal funds.

Anti-corruption measures and issues regarding prevention of “domestic corruption” in 2014 were discussed at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meetings were held at all local administrations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Inspectors of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstanrevealed discharge of production and consumption wastes by the Limited Liability Company“Bytovaya Electronika” (“Home Electronics”). In the course of the administrative investigation it was found out that in the course of repair and construction of facilities, including electronics stores, ecological, as well as sanitary and epidemiological waste management requirements were violated.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov met with Vice President of the “Fisia Babcock” corporate group, Mr. Georg Geschwendtas. Suggestions of the German corporate group “Fisia Babcock” with regard to construction of waste incineration plant were considered during the meeting. The suggested investment project envisages thermal liquidation of wastes with generation of electrical and thermal energy.

Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will take part in the competitions “Russian ski track – 2014”. Mass ski race is planned for February 2nd. This year the competitions will be held at three sites. The main start will be arranged at 12 p.m. in front of the recreation camp “Solnechny” in Zalesny village.
Moreover, the competitions “Russian ski track – 2014” will be further held on two more sites, namely in the park belt in Dubravnaya street of Privolzhsky district and in the birchwood at Derbyshki village of Sovietsky district.
