Inspectors of the Trans-Kama territorial department revealed violations of ecological legislation at the company “Buinsky sakhar” (“Buinsk sugar”) LLC

Drainage channel for storm water removal on the territory of Buinsk was examined by inspectors of Trans-Kama territorial department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Republic of Tatarstan in the course of a raid. The violation was revealed near the Kazan-Ulyanovsk highway: to the left of the drainage channel there is a system of recycling water supply of “Buinsky sakhar” LLC with water-cooling ponds, and the fact of discharge of wastes from water-cooling ponds to the local territory, namely to the drainage channel, relating to water exploitation was revealed, which led to soil littering on the area of 150 square meters. In the course of administrative investigation, fellow workers of special inspection of analytical control drew samples of soil and water for laboratory analysis. The protocols on administrative violations were drawn up against a legal person and an official according to Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
Following the results of the analysis of samples, the claim will be sent to the company with estimation of the extent of damage inflicted on soils as the elements of nature protection, along with a remedial action order to eliminate causes and conditions that encouraged commitment of administrative violation.
