The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation put into operation the state information system “Our nature”
14 January 2014, Tuesday
The Federal State Information System for public control of nature protection of the Russian Federation “Our nature” was created for the purposes of development of efficient mechanism of public control, monitoring of the burning problems, consideration of public opinion and creation of the feedback with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. Analogous systems “People’s control” and “State ecological surveillance” have been operating in the Republic of Tatarstan since April 2012. In November 2012, the systems were presented in Moscow to the Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy, by the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov. The Minister for Communication and Media of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Nikiforov, also participated in the meeting. Just like the Tatar system, the mobile application and the website “Our nature” allow the citizens to timely report on ecological offences indicating specific coordinates on the base map. In 2014, the system “Our nature” will be used mainly for liquidation of pollution of territories with solid domestic waste.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
