About 150 thousand pupils participated in the campaign “Lesson of Cleanliness”

The Republican nature protection, ecological and educational campaign “Lesson of Cleanliness” was held at the end of December at educational establishments of Tatarstan, and it was devoted to the Year of Environmental Culture and Nature Protection. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, 149,239 pupils participated in the campaign. The campaign was organized in the form of class hours, active events through play and creative work. For instance, the following events were held in Alkeevsky municipal district:
1st-4th forms – an educational environment-oriented game “There, on unknown paths”, and a talk on such topics as “Nature is our home”, “We are nature’s friends”;
5th-6th forms – extra-curricular environment-related activity “To love nature means to love”, a talk on the topic “Take care of our planet”, brain ring “Ecology and health”, a class hour “Let’s save nature, “How to clean the planet from rubbish”;
7th-8th forms – a discussion “Ecological problems and the ways of their solution”, a discussion on the topic “Ecological problems of the Earth”, an ecological lesson “Ecology is the future of Russia”;
9th-10th forms – class hours on the following topics “Let’s save our nature!”, “Ecology and culture are the future of Russia “, “Secrets of longevity”, “Our destiny is in the destiny of nature”, “Ecological safety”.
Similar events were held in all districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. Open lessons were held on the topic “Ecology and culture are the future of Russia”, discussions were held on the following topics “Problems of consumption waste are the problems of social environment, “Culture of outdoor behavior”, “Nature is our home”, such round tables as “We want to live in the clean environment”, such quizzes as “Do you know your native nature”, the following lessons-presentations: “Ecology and culture are the future of Russia”, “The Earth is our common home”, and such lessons-discussions as “Global human problems”.
