The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov together with inspectors of the State Inspection for Ecological Supervision under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected the ecological state of the old course of Kazanka river on the territory of Admiralteyskaya Sloboda located in Kirovsky district of Kazan. During the raid a series of violations of the nature protection legislation were revealed, including unauthorized waste disposal. On the territory of Kirovsky district there are more than 200 companies.

Today, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Main Administration of Veterinary under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan (Volga) Federal University, Kazan State Energy University hold “Lessons of cleanliness” at schools, vocational schools and gymnasiums. About 200 schools were covered by the fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology all around the Republic.

Today, inspectors of the State Inspection for Ecological Supervision and the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan along with fellow workers of Kazan Administrative and Technical Inspection conducted ecological monitoring of sanitary and ecological state of the Old course of Kazanka River in Admiralteyskaya Sloboda of Kirov District of Kazan. During the inspection a series of violations related to incompliance with the ecological legislation were revealed. Piles of construction waste were detected by ecologists along the offshore coastal strip of Kazanka bend at the following address: 2a Admiralteyskaya Sloboda str.

Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with workers of the Tatar interdistrict nature protection public prosecution office inspected the Yutazinsky Municipal District. As a reminder, in April 2013 a lot of complaints of the citizens of Urussu village were submitted to the Priikskoe Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with regard to air pollution. In order to detect the source of emissions, experts of the Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control of Priikskoe Territorial Department under the Ministry arranged air sampling on the territory of Urussu village. The results of quantitative and chemical analysis of air showed threefold exceedance of normal threshold allowable concentration with regard to phenol content.

The All-Russian Nature Protection Campaign for cleaning of territories “Let’s do it together” will be held on September 14 - 21. The event coincides with the Year of Environmental Culture and Nature Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan. Ecological and educational events, as well as campaigns for cleaning of the most polluted areas will be carried out on these days. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will be the organizer of the All-Russian campaign.

The first in Russia plant of German corporate group Saria on recovery of meat processing wastes was opened on the territory of the special economic zone “Alabuga”. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, founder of the holding Norbert Retmann, Director General of the company “Saria Bio-Industries” Manfred Gellner, heads of ministries and authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the solemn ceremony of the plant opening.
The plant on production of animal protein “Saria Bio-Industries Volga” was opened on the territory of special economic zone “Alabuga” in 2011 and became the first plant of Saria corporate group in Russia. The new company will process raw materials of animal origin for the purposes of their recovery and obtainment of two main products – feed flour and two types of animal fat – technical and feeding fat. Radius for collection of raw materials up to 1000 km presupposes coverage of almost the whole territory of Volga Federal District.

Applications for participation in “Ecoleader” and “Man and Nature” contests can still be submitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Pieces of work are accepted until October 1, 2013. Solemn ceremony for awarding of winners and awardees of annual republican “Ecoleader” and “Man and Nature” contests, where the most successful and active people in the field of nature protection, its preservation and recovery will be named, will be held in December 2013.
