Today, at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister Artem Sidorov met with Director of the French company “Degremont” for Russia, Mr. Bruno Loyer. Representatives of the French company expressed interest in installation in the Republic of Tatarstan of the equipment for processing ofmunicipal sewage watersand resulting sediments. Theofferedtechnicalsolutionsarebasedontheresultsofthein-houseresearchanddevelopmentandexperimental work aimed at research and development of innovation technologies and technical means. The company offers special-purpose technical solutions regardingmembrane ultrafiltration, ozonation anddecontamination of water, was well asheat treatment of sediments.
TheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesof the Republic of Tatarstan conducted work on inspection and coordination of land plots intended for large families. SinceMarch 1, 2012, 18,311 landplotshavebeeninspectedontheterritoryof 43 municipal districtsof the Republic of Tatarstan, selection of 5,525 land plots has been coordinated, 11,184 samples have been taken:10,211 air samples, 489 snow cover samples, and 484 soil samples.
In order to inform the public on further shore protection on the territory of the state integrated nature reserve “Golubye ozera”, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with Administration of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan met with the citizens of the nearby villages on the premises of school No. 147 of Kadyshevo settlement.
Conclusive competitions in the framework of the Republican stage of the tournament of young biologists were held at the children’s recreation camp “Koster” of Vysokaya Gora district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The tournament of young biologists is a new competition for pupils fond of biology. Teamwork distinguishes it from the Olympiad.
Russia is interested in investigation of UNIDO projects on implementation of “green” technologies into industry. It was announced by Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Rinat Gizatulin during the meeting with Director General of UNIDO Li Yong. He approached the public with the initiative to create the center of innovation and “green” technologies in Russia on the basis of UNIDO potential, as well as to promote environment-oriented projects into industry, small and medium businesses in order to further enhance the ecological situation in the country.
The X World Conference of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Sport and Environment started in Sochi. This global forum unites participants and partners of the Olympic movement, as well as representatives of other structures acting in the field, namely governments, international and non-government organizations engaged in the matters of nature protection; industry and business communities, scientific and research institutes, mass media and so on.

More than 50 truckloads of garbage of reinforced concrete structures have been removed from the territory of the company “Stroykhimservis” located on Arkhangelskaya street of Kazan. Violation of nature protection legislation was revealed by inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan this September. Today, ecological specialists inspected the work on beautification of this territory. According to the Head of special inspection of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ruslan Shakirzyanov, great work has been done, although the landowner still needs to carry out actions regarding territory beautification, including tree planting.

On the initiative of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the President and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the II Republican Forum of socially oriented non-commercial organizations is being prepared now to be held in the last decade of November 2013 in Kazan.
The All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum will be held on December 4 in Moscow in the framework of the final event of the Year of Environment Protection — the IV All-Russian Meeting for Nature Protection. The event will be held at the international exposition center “Crocus Expo”.

Agreement aimed at improvement of town-planning and ecological situation in the city was signed between Kazan Town Hall, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and “Nefis Cosmetics” OAO. Subject to the agreement, “Nefis Cosmetics” OAO will plant a thousand large-sized trees this autumn in Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan in the framework of the project “Green record”.
