     The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan along with the Special Operations Aviation Detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan continues work on detection of violations of environmental protection legislation on the territory of Kazan and its suburbs.

   Today, Artem Sidorov, Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, participated in the seminar meeting on improvement of ecological conditions in Almetyevsk Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan that was held in Novonikolsk village. The Head of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Faskhutdinov took part in the seminar meeting as well.

In the framework of the activities devoted to the Ecologist’s Day, the trades committee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan arranged a children’s drawing competition “Planet is me” with the participation of the pupils attending nursery No. 47 of Privolzhsky District of Kazan City. This nursery is the prize winner in the “Environmental Protection” contest.

A briefing “On the results of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign” took place in the form of a video conference in the Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan. The first Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the General state Inspector for Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov took part in the briefing.

In the framework of the World Environment Day and Ecologist’s Day, a traditional joint environment-oriented campaign of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Underwater Sports Association of the Republic of Tatarstan and regional division of the Russian Geographical Society of the Republic of Tatarstan was held regarding cleaning of the lake bed and the coastal area of “Izumrudnoe” (pit lake in Yudino village) and “Komsomolskoe” lakes.

   In order to enhance the state control of the emission standards and to reduce the negative impact of transport on air a “Clear Air” Campaign is being conducted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan from June, 1st till September, 30th in the whole republic.

    In the framework of the 2nd Spartakiada Games among executive and state authorities employees of the Republic of Tatarstan track-and-field competitions took place at Trudovye Reservy Stadium on June 2.

From May 11th to 29th, 2012, in the framework of fostering of environmental education and awareness at secondary educational establishments of Almetyevsk, fellow workers of the South-Eastern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan gave an awareness-raising talk “Water travel in Almetyevsk” in cooperation with the experts of OAO “Almetyevsk Water Services Company”.

Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of mass media conducted a raid at the Soviet district of Kazan City in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning of cities and districts of Tatarstan.

The members of Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources’ central office competed in a preliminary 100-metre dash in track and field on the 29th of May on the race track of the Kazan field hockey centre.
