The Press raid at the Soviet District of Kazan City

Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of mass media conducted a raid at the Soviet district of Kazan City in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning of cities and districts of Tatarstan.

Oleg Belov, the Deputy Head of Urban Improvement and Housing Development Department of the Soviet District Administration, and Vil Latypov, the acting Head of Municipal Monitoring Department of Administrative and Technical Inspection Bureau of the Soviet district of Kazan, also took part in the raid.

During the raid “Torfyanoy” housing development and “Tsaritsino” gardening society were inspected.

In the result of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign 22 sites of unauthorized waste disposal were revealed in the Soviet district of Kazan. According to Oleg Belov, the Deputy Head of Urban Improvement and Housing Development Department of the Soviet District Administration, 19 sites have been liquidated.

Today the site of unauthorized construction waste disposal has been liquidated in the area of “Torfyanoy” housing development, on the riverside of the Kazanka River. For prevention of waste disposal in this territory, access ways to it will be blocked.

For gardening societies, ravines remain to be problem areas. According to Vil Latypov, the acting Head of Municipal Monitoring Department of Administrative and Technical Inspection Bureau of the Soviet district of Kazan, locals continue to store construction and wood wastes there. For example, the ravine located between “Rassvet” and “Vodokanal” gardening societies became a site of unauthorized construction waste disposal. Soon the ravine will be cleared and filled up by efforts of “Rassvet” and “Vodokanal” gardening non-commercial partnerships.
