Briefing on the Results of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign

A briefing “On the results of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign” took place in the form of a video conference in the Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan. The first Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the General state Inspector for Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov took part in the briefing.

The first Deputy for Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Harris Musin, the Deputy Minister for Transport and Road Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Eduard Danilov, the Deputy Minister for Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Karimov, the Chief of the Federal Service for Supervision of Customers’ Rights Protection and Humans’ Wellbeing for the Republic of Tatarstan Marina Patyashina, and the Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan Lilia Gaynutdinova also answered the questions of mass media representatives during the briefing.

Rustem Kamalov summed up the results of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign.

10,797 violations in the sphere of production and consumption wastes disposal were liquidated. Based on the results of the revealed violations 10,387 protocols were drawn up, including 197 protocols regarding legal entities, 1,151 protocols regarding administrative officials, and 9,039 protocols regarding individuals. Total amount of imposed penalties makes 14 million 951 thousand rubles.

1,035 sites of unauthorized waste disposal were revealed, whereof 597 were liquidated, which makes 57 % from the total amount of the revealed violations.  The liquidation of the rest remains under control.

 According to the data of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the whole 1,203 legal entities, administrative official, and individuals were subject to administrative responsibility for violations of the Rules of Public Services and Amenities Organization.

266 signals and 417 photos of unauthorized waste disposal sites in the territory of the cities and regions of the Republic of Tatarstan were made on the hot-line phone or by sending an e-mail to eco.signal@tatar.ru. All the messages were quickly responded to. All the necessary measures for liquidation of the revealed violations were taken.

         Moreover, an internet project called “People’s control” was launched on April 16 on the web-portal of public services of the Republic of Tatarstan www.uslugi.tatar.ru in cooperation with the Ministry of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan. As of June 4, 91 reports were received on the “Open government” website regarding sites of unauthorized disposal of waste. Measures were taken with regard to 63 reports: detected sites were eliminated, and the work on the remaining sites is still in progress.

To conclude his speech, Rustem Kamalov noted that the work on cleaning of the territories of cities and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan will continue regardless of the fact that a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign is over.
