Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiyevtook part in the inspection on unauthorized snow dumps today. As compared to the previous year, their number decreased by almost a quarter, the Minister noted. And volumes too. Accordingto Abdulganiev, this is the result of intense work in this area and close cooperation with people: “As a rule, unauthorized snow dumps appear on the same sites, and these sites are under our close attention. Day and nightchecks are regularly conducted. Today, our task is to prevent the violation of environmental laws. In the previous year we found 207 unauthorized snowdumps, while only 53for the same period

Plans for the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces were discussed today by two Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic. FaridAbdulganiyev met with MuratDimitrov, whomanages the environmental issues in the youth governmentof Tatarstan. He won the national contest for young leaders “Up!” (The contest, held annually since 2009, is aimed at the formation of mechanism of preparation and training of administering staff for the state authorities and local government, institutions and organizations, youth associations of the Republic of Tatarstan. School and university students are invited to participate in the All-Russian contest “Green technologies through the eyes of the young”.

The contest is held in two stages: in absentia and in presentio. Applications and abstracts for participation inabsentia stage of the contestare accepted until 15 May.

The package of abstracts is built in two categories:
