From theory to practice. ECO events held today at Kazan school No. 48

Secondary use of raw materials, environmental issues in the region, environmental holidays and promotions. These topics have become key on the eco-lesson in the 48th school of Kazan. Today, high school students, together with specialists from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, told the junior students about the importance of careful attitude to natural resources. The event took place in an interactive form. Teachers of ECO-lesson held an ecological quiz for children, read stories about nature, acquainted them with rare species of flora and fauna of Tatarstan. For a deeper study of the environment, high school students conducted a hands-on class in the fresh air – a clean-up of the school territory as part of the action #ECO-spring2017. Schoolchildren cleaned the plot of garbage and last year grass, swept the sidewalks and paths, cleaned the beds and lawn paths. According to Yulia Saferova, a specialist of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, schoolchildren did not remain indifferent, took an active part in the improvement of the school territory and directed their efforts to preserve the cleanliness of their native city.
