“Capture the beauty of native land!” Tatarstan amateur photographers are invited to participate in the III Contest of the Russian Geographical Society “The most beautiful country”. The contest aims to draw attention to the conservation of natural and cultural heritage of Russia, as well as the development of respect for the environment through the art of photography. Everyone can participate regardless of age and place of residence.

Reducing the negative impact on the environment is a priority. Supply and exhaust ventilation system with heat recovery, electricity regeneration in elevators, use of stone wool plates for external walls insulation, low-emission windows, automatic heat supply adjustment depending on the outside temperature. All this is used in the construction of a 16-storey multi-apartment building with 120 apartments (developer – YIT Kazan LLC). For its energy-efficient and environmentally friendly programs, it is one of the few in Russia certified according to the BREEAM standard.

Today, the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan hosted a consulting and educational seminar in the system of personnel competence development in the field of environmental safety. It was participated by the representatives of enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev made a welcoming speech.

Teachers of Tatarstan are invited to participate in the All-Russian competition “Best eco-school”, organized by the All-Russian Ecological Community Movement “Green Russia”. The contest is aimed at providing an opportunity for teachers to show themselves in developing new methods for conducting a lesson, identifying gifted and creative teachers, attracting schoolchildren to promoting respect for nature, popularizing knowledge about the state of the environment and environmental problems.

3 thousand tons of garbage were removed today from the territory of the city of Kazan. Particular attention was given to hard-to-reach places – ravines and forests. Where the technique could not pass, garbage was collected by people. KAMAZ trucks, loaders, excavators – organizations and enterprises of Tatarstan provided about a hundred units of special equipment. They were given special coupons, according to which the landfills Samosyrovo and Vozrozhdenie received waste for free. More than 30 places of unauthorized waste disposal have been eliminated.

The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, took part in the II World Online Test on Tatar language and literature. The minister has successfully passed several stages: a test of the Tatar language, a test that includes facts from the life of Galimjan Barudi, and an educational and informative bonus-tour “Life-map of Galimjan Barudi”.

A family of marals and spotted deers entered the Red Book found a new home today. Born in the nursery Rybno-Slobodsky district, animals were released today in the wild. “In 2014, the first livestock from the Altai Mountains was brought, among which there were 17 spotted deers and 24 marals,” says Alber Kamaliev, farm manager of the farm “Wild Farm”. Today there are more than a hundred animals. This year we expect birth of 20-30 animals.” Released marals and deers were born in Tatarstan.

May 26 is Snow Leopard Day. The ecological holiday appeared in 2010 in the Altai in order to attract the people attention to the problems of the snow leopard population reduction. To date, the number of these large carnivorous mammals of the felines family, living in the mountains of Russia, is about 200 individuals. Snow leopard is listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the Red Book of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The main cause of extinction is the destruction of animals by poachers, attracted by valuable fur with unusual colour.

Young rowan, apple, cherry, pear trees, lilac, currant and gooseberry will decorate the territory of one hundred kindergartens and schools of the republic. The contest among kindergartens and schools of the Republic “100 green corners” was announced by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan within the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces and the campaign #ECOspring2017. Those wishing to green their territories could send an application in an arbitrary form with a description of the ongoing environmental education work. The 100 most active kindergartens and schools received today seedlings for the creation of personal gardens.

The debate turned into discussions and reasoning. What the leader should be like, ecological culture of human and problem of formation of unauthorized landfills. Opinions and ideas were exchanged today in Kazan, in the “Сәләт” hall during a business breakfast. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, met with the finalists of the Third Republican League of Debates in Tatar “Bezneң Fiker”. There were a lot of questions. One of the key ones was the protection of native nature and the protection of native language: what is common in these concepts? Today, everything was sorted out.
