Reducing the negative impact on the environment is a priority. Supply and exhaust ventilation system with heat recovery, electricity regeneration in elevators, use of stone wool plates for external walls insulation, low-emission windows, automatic heat supply adjustment depending on the outside temperature. All this is used in the construction of a 16-storey multi-apartment building with 120 apartments (developer – YIT Kazan LLC). For its energy-efficient and environmentally friendly programs, it is one of the few in Russia certified according to the BREEAM standard.
“Green building represents the most important direction in the global construction industry, which is a systematic continuation of the construction of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly buildings, – said Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. – The use of “green standards” in construction helps to reduce the level of consumption of energy and material resources throughout the building life cycle: from site selection, design, construction, operation, maintenance to demolition. In general, this is a reduction in the overall impact of development to the environment and human health through the effective use of energy, water, and other resources.” Bright examples in Tatarstan are the hi-tec city Innopolis, the residential complex Sovremennik, the apartment house of the economy class Krasnoye Yabloko, the energy-saving house Khimgrad in the territory of Technopolis, the scientific and technical center of JSC Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, the Suvar Plaza complex, GorkiPark, and others.
Green Standards are the criteria that determine the increased focus of environmental requirements in the housing construction, the organization of architectural and planning solutions for the development of territories.
