The regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan launched the national contest “Ecology of native land”.
The contest is aimed at attracting the attention of the public and the young generation of RT to solving environmental issues of their native land. To participate, it is necessary to prepare and implement the project in the territory of the republic before September 10 of this year in one of the directions:

Laboratory analysis of water, study of air condition, professional instruments of ecologists. These and other interesting information were added to their knowledge by students of the Almetyevsk school No. 25 of “70th anniversary of Tatarstan oil” during the ECO-lesson. Educational event for children was conducted by specialists of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The fund-operator of presidential grants for the development of civil society has announced contests among non-profit non-governmental organizations for grants of the President of the Russian Federation. In contests the organizations that carry out activities in the following areas can take part:

Environmentalists inspected the waters of the river Kazanka. The objects of attention are illegal structures on the shorelines and discharge of untreated sewage. Specialists of CSIAC of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took samples of natural water. Express-tests showed that the dissolved oxygen content was normal. The head of the State Inspectorate for Environmental Supervision, Almaz Zakirov, inspected observation of the environmentalists’ orders on the demolition of illegal objects built on the territory of public use. The Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, set the task to strengthen control over the state of water quality in the water bodies of the republic before beginning of hot weather.

To attract public attention to the issues that exist in the environment protection area and improve the state of the country environmental security, the year 2017 is declared the Year of Ecology in the Russian Federation, within the framework of which measures are planned to restore the population of the Peregrine Falcon. The issue of the need to preserve and restore biodiversity is relevant not only in Russia, but throughout the world. The number of some species of birds on the planet has decreased so much that they are threatened with complete extinction. Today, within the framework of the IX International Economic Summit “Russia-Islamic World: KazanSummit 2017”, a section devoted to reviving the traditions of Russian falconry was held.

The population of snow leopards is important and must be restored. This was said today on a perspective international platform for the implementation of joint environmental projects on the conservation of rare species of animals within the framework of the IX International Economic Summit “Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2017”. Reducing genetic diversity and immunity in animals, increasing susceptibility to infectious and parasitic diseases, and reducing the ability of animals to reproduce. All these factors are of concern to specialists, said Rustam Rabadanov, deputy director of the Department of State Policy and Regulation in the Sphere of Environmental Protection of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

Collect waste paper and send money to charity. With this in mind, the students of the Kazan school No. 18 held an environmental action in the framework of #ECOspring2017. Schoolchildren together with their parents collected 27,622 kilograms of waste paper, and the money received from the waste paper was sent to the Kazan Zoobotanical garden for the care of newborn deer. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan supported the children in good deeds.

“Global distribution of processes of anthropogenic eutrophication of water bodies: problems and solutions”. The conference with a complex title reveals questions of a global scale – fight against blue-green algae. Cyanotoxins, their variety, and, the main question – how to fight? Ecologists, biologists, scientists from all over the world shared their experience in Tatarstan today. “The problem of water bodies pollution, eutrophication is relevant for the whole world. Therefore, we invited not only representatives of Russian science, instead, the conference is international. Water bodies protection is extremely important for the whole world, and Tatarstan has something to say. The ecological situation is stable, and today we can take a number of measures to prevent.

Those who are not indifferent to nature are invited to participate in the environmental action “Reservoirs cleaning says.” The nature protection event is held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in conjunction with the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in RT. During the action, there will be clean-ups to clean water bodies of the republic:

Kids of preschool center No. 2 “Teremok” of Aznakaevo district took part in an ecological lesson devoted to the rules of safe behaviour in nature. The event for children was conducted by specialists of the Priiksky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the lesson, ecologists told the children about flora and fauna of the native land, unique natural resources of the republic, interaction of human with the environment.
