the XXII International Scientific Symposium of Students and Young Scientists named after Academician Mikhail Usov “Issues of Geology and Development of Subsurface Resources” will be held on November 2-7, 2018 on the base of Tomsk Polytechnic University. The event is dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the birth of Academician Vladimir Obruchev, the 135th anniversary of the birth of Academician Mikhail Usov, the founder of the Siberian Mining and Geological School, and the 110th anniversary of the first graduation of mining engineers in Siberia.

Tatarstanians at the age of 18 to 30 are invited to participate in the contest for youth “My land, I'm responsible for you”, dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. The organizer is the Republican Youth Library with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Individual works should meet the evaluation criteria:

Creative collectives of Kazan can take part in the XII city ecological festival of scenic creativity of schoolchildren “Sunny Bridge”. The event is organized by the Kazan Education Department and the City Children's Ecological and Biological Center.
The festival includes the following nominations:
1) “Vocal solo”;

Failure of the drying unit on JSC Zelenodolsk Dairy plant in Buinsk caused the discharge of pollutants into the soil. The Buinsk resident told about the violation to the inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology. The prompt response of experts from the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan prevented major damage to nature. The pollution area was 3 sq.m.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation will impose penalties for violation of the terms of geological exploration, the press service of the ministry reports. The corresponding draft law – amendments to Article 43 of the Russian Federation “On Subsoil” – has been submitted to the Russian Government. The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia expects that the law will enter into force on January 1, 2018.

Absence of specially equipped waste collection sites annually becomes one of the reasons for the appearance of unauthorized landfills in horticultural partnerships. At the end of last year, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan initiated an appeal to the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan on the need to resolve the issue of financing measures to equip horticultural, gardening and dacha non-profit associations of citizens with sites for collecting solid municipal waste and equipping them with containers and bunkers.

Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, held a reception in Yelabuga. The themes of the meeting were issues of organising a cleanup on the Gusiny Island and monitoring pollutants in the air. “It is gratifying that the residents of the city do not remain indifferent to the issues of environmental protection. It is doubly pleasant that the people of Elabuga offer ways to solve these issues,” – Farid Abdulganiev noted the active environmental position of the citizens.

Today the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev congratulated the people of Elabuga on the International Day of Older Persons.

A wooden 2 meter high fence became an obstacle to the passage to the shoreline of the Shilna River. On this fact that the inhabitants of the village of Sanar of Tukaevo district informed the ecologists. The inspectors of the Prikamsky territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the place.

Students of grades 1-11 of Kazan educational institutions are invited to participate in the children's city photo competition “Mirror of Nature – 2017”, organized by the Education Department of the Executive Committee of Kazan and the City Children's Ecological and Biological Center.
