Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, held a reception in Yelabuga. The themes of the meeting were issues of organising a cleanup on the Gusiny Island and monitoring pollutants in the air. “It is gratifying that the residents of the city do not remain indifferent to the issues of environmental protection. It is doubly pleasant that the people of Elabuga offer ways to solve these issues,” – Farid Abdulganiev noted the active environmental position of the citizens. The Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan supported the idea of ​​the residents and called on all people to participate in the cleanup to be held on October 7. As for the monitoring of the state of atmospheric air, Farid Abdulganiev said that there is an automatic air pollution control station in Yelabuga. “At this stationary monitoring station, concentrations of priority pollutants are automatically measured every 20 minutes: sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, the sum of hydrocarbons, the sum of hydrocarbons without methane, methane. In 2017, 89,173 samples were taken, of which only 9 cases exceeded the maximum permissible concentrations for hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide. For the other indicators of excess MPC is not recorded,” – said the Minister of Ecology.
