Illegal quarry in Almetyevsk district was found by the inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Near the settlement Kaleikino excavator was mining common minerals (clays). According to environmentalists, the development resulted in the violation of 1.700 square meters of land, the depth of seizures was 2.3 m.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the start of the republican contest ECOleader. The most eco-friendly enterprises and educational institutions whose task is to teach how to care of nature, public figures who are not indifferent to environmental problems and, of course, journalists who during the year became real assistants to the inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, are invited to participate.

The Nabarazhnye Chelny enterprise Art-stroy was ordered to minimize and purify harmful emissions by the inspector of the Prikamsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Under the instruction of ecologists, the organization carried out a complex of measures to improve the quality of atmospheric air, in particular, assembled the unit with a three-stage purification system. Poor work of these facilities caused the release of polluted substances into the atmosphere. Non-observance of the rules for the protection of atmospheric air was recorded by the inspector of the Prikamsky administration.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the eve of the Day of Recycling, implemented a project to install containers for collection of used chemical current sources (batteries) and their subsequent disposal. Currently, 30 containers have been installed in the authorities offices, major shopping centers and higher educational institutions of Kazan. Specialized waste collection containers are located:
- in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan (Svobody square, 1),
- in the Ministry of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan (Vishnevsky St. 26),
- in the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan (Yamasheva Ave. 37a),

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan accepts reports from small and medium-sized businesses on the formation, use, neutralization and disposal of waste. Reporting is necessary for a clear understanding: what kinds of waste and in what quantities are formed, to which specialized organizations these wastes are transferred in accordance with the concluded contracts. This is necessary to reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment, the amount of waste generated and the amount of waste disposed of at the dedicated sites. Also, work will help to prevent unauthorized waste disposal.

Tatarstanians at the age of 18 to 30 are invited to participate in the contest for youth “My land, I'm responsible for you”, dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. The organizer is the Republican Youth Library with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected the water protection zones of the Bugulma district. The focus of environmentalists was the Karabash reservoir shore. Here on the territory of the recreation centers the inspector recorded facts of unauthorized seizure of the coastal strip, which is a violation of Article 6, Clause 6 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation: A strip of land along the shoreline (the boundary of a water body) of a public water body (coastal strip) is intended for general use.

What devices do environmentalists use to take water samples? What is quantitative chemical analysis? What can result from excess of the norms of maximum permissible concentrations in the air? The answers to these and other questions were learned by the students of the Leskhoz School of the Arsk District in the framework of an excursion to the Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Applications are accepted for participation in a photo contest “Trees - monuments of wildlife”, participants of which can be residents of the Russian Federation above the age of 18.

The contest accepts color and monochrome photographs (including black and white), the subject of which are trees recognized by the Certification Commission of the Program as nature monuments (a list of such trees can be found at: http://rosdrevo.ru/derevya-pamyatniki-zhivoy- prirody-spisok).
