Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected the water protection zones of the Bugulma district. The focus of environmentalists was the Karabash reservoir shore. Here on the territory of the recreation centers the inspector recorded facts of unauthorized seizure of the coastal strip, which is a violation of Article 6, Clause 6 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation: A strip of land along the shoreline (the boundary of a water body) of a public water body (coastal strip) is intended for general use. The width of the shoreline of water bodies of general use is twenty meters. Environmentalists made administrative reports against the violators on art. 8.12.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Non-compliance with the provision of free access of citizens to the public water body and its coastal strip) and 7.6 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Unauthorized occupation of a water body or its use in violation of the established rules). Also, during the inspection it was found that there are no treatment facilities on the territory of some bases, as a result of which storm water enters the water body. On this fact, the inspectors of the South-Eastern Department brought the perpetrators to administrative liability under art. 8.45 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation: Failure to comply with the requirements for the installation by organizations located within the boundaries of water protection zones of facilities ensuring the protection of water bodies from pollution, debris, silting and depletion of water, and issued an order to eliminate the violation.
