Unauthorized waste storage was detected by inspectors of the Priiksky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in the village of Popovka, Bavli district, within the framework of a sanitary and ecological two-month period. Household garbage and waste littered an area of 250 sq. m. The volume of the landfill was 150 cubic meters.
The republican scientific and practical conference "Ecological safety of modern socio-economic systems from the perspective of the Earth Charter" was held in the Arsky district on the basis of school No. 2. At the end of April, ecologists of the Priiksky TA received a complaint from residents of the village of Yekaterinovka. They reported that unknown persons were draining a liquid with a pronounced chemical odor, and also complained that industrial waste was being buried in their area. Specialists of the Priiksky department together with a representative of the Chamber of Property and Land Relations of the Yutazinsky district examined a land plot near the village of Yekaterinovka. Environmentalists took samples.
For 1.5 months of the sanitary and ecological two-month period, the supervisory authorities revealed 3904 violations (2,868 of them were eliminated), 1,726 protocols were drawn up, administrative fines totaling 3,902 million rubles were imposed. 2,411 places of unauthorized waste disposal were identified, 1,923 (79.8%) were liquidated.
The purpose of the environmental campaign is to plant 45 million trees, by name for each person who died in the Great Patriotic War.
