The Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov today introduced the delegates of the scientific conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh with the operation of automatic air purity control stations of the Ministry of Ecology.

In the framework of the XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh a round table dedicated to the role of specially protected natural areas in the conservation of biological diversity and socio-economic development of the regions was held.

Dmitry Augustovich Shiller, Chairman of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Geographical Society, spoke about the work and achievements.

The first agreement was the result of a joint effort between the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, the Volga-Kama State Nature Reserve and the A. I. Shchepovskikh  Regional Public Foundation. It was signed by Alexander Shadrikov, Chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society Dmitry Shiller, director of the reserve Yan Murzakhanov and Executive Director of the foundation Andrey Agarkov. The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen cooperation in the field of environmental protection and support environmental initiatives in Tatarstan.

The total volume of investments in environmental protection measures in Tatarstan over the past seven years has amounted to 71.8 billion rubles. This was announced today by Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, at the plenary session of the XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh in Kazan.

Today, within the framework of the XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh hosted the plenary session "Strategy of ecological balance: current achievements and promising tasks of the environmental sphere." 

Today, Kazan hosts the XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh "Industrial ecology and safety".

The third stage of the pilot project of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Geographical Society "Free Current", which is aimed at the ecological rehabilitation of the Kazanka River, continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. It is being implemented with the support of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov.

Specialists from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in comprehensive exercises aimed at working out actions in case of emergency oil spills. The events were held in Mamadyshsky and Nizhnekamsk districts. The commission included inspectors from the Prikamsky and Zakamsky departments of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The XX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskykh "Industrial ecology and safety"  will be held in Kazan on August 27-28, 2025. The anniversary forum, which will be held within the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum-2025, will be dedicated to several significant dates at once: the 80th anniversary of Anatoly Ivanovich Shchepovskikh, the 65th anniversary of the Volga-Kama Biosphere Reserve and the 180th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society.
