The new national project "Environmental Well-being" starts next year. When carrying out activities aimed at protecting the environment in Tatarstan, special attention is paid to environmental education. Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky told today at a press conference in Tatar-inform about eco-educational projects and competitions held in the region.
"Environmental awareness-raising activities in Tatarstan are carried out thanks to the national project "Ecology", which is coming to an end this year. On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, until 2030 and, I think, with an extension until 2036, a new national project "Environmental well–being" will start next year," he said.
The new national project will consist of six federal projects. All those eco-projects in which the republic is currently participating will continue in 2025.
"It is gratifying that environmental education in the new national project will be a cross-cutting vector, a through-line for all federal projects," said Egor Tarnavsky.
He spoke about this year's environmental events. In the spring, the Eco-spring competition was held, the number of participants increased 8.5 times compared to last year. The eco-marathon lasted eight weeks.
"Next year we will continue this format, there will be some innovations," Yegor Tarnavsky added.
More than 17 thousand events were organized in the republic, and active participants of the competition were awarded. The Hannanov family from the Sarmanovsky district, who won the nomination "Eco-family", received a trip to Kaliningrad as an award.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan has concluded an agreement with the Fund for Rational Environmental Management on the development of environmental programs aimed at implementing the principles of circular economy and the organization of separate waste collection. Now the republic participates in the program "Recycling School: Electronics".
"The awarding ceremony was held on July 25. This year, Tatarstan has entered the top three leaders across the country," said Egor Tarnavsky.
Currently, a competition of scientific and practical works is being held in the republic among students and postgraduates of higher educational institutions of Tatarstan.
"The acceptance of applications started on September 2. We celebrate distinguished students, and we also reward graduate students. The level of scientific work is growing from year to year," the Deputy minister said.
Applications will be accepted until the end of October. The face–to-face defense will take place in November, and the awarding of the winners will take place in December. The winners will receive cash prizes.
The All-Russian campaign for the collection of waste paper "BoomBattle" and the republican contest "ECO-leader" are also continuing. Enterprises, educational institutions, public organizations, journalists and all those who are not indifferent to environmental problems are invited to participate.
The republican competition "School Eco-patrol" ended in August, and the awarding of the winners will take place in November.
