After check by inspectors of Ministry of Ecology, solid waste landfill in Leninogorsk suspended

The solid waste landfill of the organization “Landscaping and gardening”, located in Leninogorsk district, is to suspend its activity. This decision was made by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. The main reason for the suspension was the absence of a license for handling production and consumption waste. This fact was revealed by the inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and by the employees of the Tatar Environmental Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office during the inspection. In addition, representatives of the supervisory authorities identified a number of other violations on the site. Among them – non-compliance with environmental requirements in the implementation of urban development and operation of enterprises, facilities or other objects (Article 8.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation); Non-observance of environmental and sanitary-epidemiological requirements when handling production and consumption wastes, substances that destroy the ozone layer, or other dangerous substances (Article 8.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).

The operation of the landfill is suspended until elimination of all violations and obtaining a license to handle production and consumption waste.
