An environmental literacy lesson was held for Kazan schoolchildren
Specialists of the Department of Environmental Education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan met with the guys who re-joined the ranks of the yunnats. As part of the educational project "Geography lesson", they held a lesson for students of the 5th grade of secondary school No. 12 of Kazan.
They discussed with the children what environmental literacy is, introduced them to the activities of the Republican Ministry of Ecology, and also told in detail about all environmental competitions in which schoolchildren can take part.
A separate topic for attention was the issue of separate garbage collection. During the conversation, the students shared their knowledge, which they put into practice at home.
"Next Saturday, September 21, we will organize a large–scale clean-up on Lake Izumrudny. This will be a quest game where points will be awarded for each collected bag of garbage, as well as prizes will be awarded," Anastasia Merdyukova, a specialist at the Ministry of Ecology, said during the lesson. The children gladly accepted the offer to participate in the cleaning and promised to come with their parents.
The students are still at the beginning of their junior path: a large number of introductory and practical classes are waiting for them ahead!
