15 June 2024, Saturday

Kindergartens, schools, organizations and representatives of the media received their awards today for their contribution to the environment. The award ceremony was held in a new format. The winners were awarded on the beach of Nizhny Zarechye, where the All-Russian clean-up day "Peculiarities of national cleaning" took place within the framework of the national project "Ecology". This year, the Eco-spring competition has been held for the ninth year in a row in parallel with the sanitary and environmental bi-monthly.

The winners were welcomed and thanked by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov for their indifference to environmental issues:

"It's nice when there are such active people, residents of our republic, who show by their example how to treat ecology and environmental protection. This year, the participants of the Eco-spring contest completed eight different quests, and 18 thousand events were held. 400 thousand Tatarstan citizens went out to work on the improvement of our republic. I express my great gratitude, dear friends, for your attitude and for your activity. Ecology unites us!"

The event was also attended by Alexander Kogan, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, and Director of the Compass Foundation for Support and Development of Environmental Initiatives Tatyana Kovaleva.

This year, 1202 applications were received for the competition, which is a kind of record in recent years. Kindergartens and schools showed the greatest activity, with almost 400 applications in each nomination.

Let us recall that on June 1, Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the Head of Tatarstan, has already awarded the best eco-families. This year, the Khannanov family became the winner in this nomination. As a reward, the eco-family received a trip around Russia. This year, we tried to make the gifts as useful as possible for the participants. The winners received mobile phones, cameras, headphones, speakers and other gadgets.

"From the first week we took part in the "Eco-Spring". We held campaigns, master classes, and went out on clean-up days. There are 15 guys in our Eco-Valor squad, real activists who are worried about the well-being of Tatarstan. Participation in Eco-spring helped us to unite even more, and we will continue to participate in environmental competitions," the winners of the Eco-Association nomination shared their impressions.
