"Become the changes you want to see in the world." Employees of the Ministry of Ecology held an eco-lesson in Kazan

13 May 2024, Monday

The inspectors of the Central Department went to the 116 lyceum and told the students about the eco-habits. The students learned how to live environmentally friendly in a megalopolis and take care of the world around them.

"In order to live environmentally friendly, you don't need any superpowers. One small eco-habit can make a big contribution. Millions of people around the world are inspired by the words of the philosopher Gandhi: "Become the changes you want to see in the world." How does it work? First, our behavior changes, then the behavior of our loved ones. This continues to spread and forces all the inhabitants of the Earth to change the world for the better," Safiya Safonova, inspector of the Central Department of the Ministry of Ecology, cited Mohatma Gandhi as an example.

Living environmentally friendly means taking care of yourself and everything around you, establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between man and nature, and reducing your ecological footprint.

According to the guys, they are still learning what ecology is and how to help their native nature, but they are already happy to take part in cleanups and eco-campaigns. And to make it easier and more accessible for them to learn about the natural world, at the end of the lesson, all students were presented with books "Green Tatarstan".

Let us recall that as part of the joint work of the Ministry of Ecology, the Ministry of Education and the Tatarmultfilm association in 2019, the ecological and educational publication "Green Path" for 1st grade students, the textbook "Green Tatarstan" for 5th grade students were released, and the republican educational portal "Green Tatarstan" was launched. In 2022, the Ecology at School project became the winner of the All–Russian competition "Reliable Partner - Ecology" in the nomination "The best educational project in the field of ecology".
