An educational tour of the environmental laboratory of the Southeastern Department was conducted by Almetyevsk schoolchildren
Specialists of the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology conducted an eco-tour of the laboratory for primary school students of school No. 26 in Almetyevsk.
The children were told about the work of the laboratory, about the methods of analyzing the selected samples. We introduced them to the main assistants of specialists who determine the quality of water – daphnia, which are specially grown in the laboratory. The children were particularly interested in the experiment with water – they were clearly shown how water changes color under the influence of certain chemicals.
Specialists also demonstrated the work of a mobile environmental laboratory. Environmentalists graphically showed the children what the car is equipped with and how the quality of atmospheric air is determined. They talked about the need for a prompt response to requests related to atmospheric air sampling and the importance of such a mobile laboratory, capable not only of analyzing the atmosphere for pollutants in automatic mode, but also of quickly getting to the right place.
"Now modern children are interested in environmental issues. This is good news. For example, our class actively participates in environmental campaigns. Throughout the year, we are eco-activists in various events: we plant trees, collect plastic, waste paper, and most importantly, we are supported by the parents of the students," shared the class teacher of the 4th graders.
At the end of the tour, the children received books on environmental topics from the Ministry of Ecology as a gift. And the students, in turn, pleased the specialists with a colorful poster "How important it is to protect the planet" and thanked the specialists for an interesting eco-tour.
