Environmentalists left on a complaint about unauthorized storage of snow in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan
The Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan received two complaints through the information system "People's Control" about the unauthorized storage of snow in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration went to the streets of M. Mil and F. Amirkhan. The facts of violation of environmental legislation have been confirmed.
On M. Mil Street, the landfill area was 68 sq.m. Environmentalists took snow samples for hazard class, toxicity and chemical analysis. According to the analysis results, polluted snow belongs to 5 (hazard class 5 is nonhazardous garbage for ecosystem) hazard class, but minor exceedances were found for nitrates, chlorides, sulfates, and petroleum products.
Landfill area on F. Amirkhan str. is 48 sq.m. Here, environmentalists also took samples, the results of which revealed minor excesses in chlorides, sulfates and petroleum products.
A warning was sent to the Executive Committee of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan about the inadmissibility of violating environmental legislation and eliminating landfills within 60 days.
