Eco leaders of the republic were awarded today in Kazan
The most environmentally friendly enterprise, social movement, media, educational institution and the best state inspector - a total of 291 applications and 3 absolute winners. Today, the results of the republican contest "ECO-leader" were summed up on the stage of the Pyramid cultural and entertainment center. Let us recall that the competition of the Ministry of Ecology has been held since 2004 and annually gathers more and more participants who are not indifferent to the environment and ecology.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov addressed the participants of the competition with a welcoming speech. "For 20 years now, we have been gathering with you to sum up the results of the year and name our eco-travelers. About 300 applications were submitted for the competition this year. These are kindergartens, schools, rural settlements, municipal districts, and, of course, industrial enterprises. The dialogue between government, society, business and science has always been and is at a high level in our Republic. That is why we are getting such good, kind results." The Minister of Ecology noted that for the 4th year in a row, thanks to the active position of the people of Tatarstan, the Republic has become the winner of the All-Russian competition "Water of Russia" within the framework of the national project "Ecology". This year, Tatarstan became the absolute champion in terms of the total length of the cleared shores – 10,413 kilometers; in terms of the volume of garbage collected – 16,584 cubic meters; the largest number of cleanups – 9,334 events. These achievements indicate a high level of interest of Tatarstan citizens in environmental issues.
"Everything we do together with you, we do, first of all, for people. And today I want to thank all the residents of the republic once again. Words of sincere gratitude to you!", - Alexander Shadrikov thanked Tatarstan residents.
The winners of the competition were determined in 21 nominations – these are social movements and enterprises, inspectors and journalists. Awarding the winners of the competition, the head of the regional branch of the Russian Environmental Competition, Azat Ziganshin, stressed: "Today we are announcing the results, congratulations to the winners, and I am happy that I am also a part of this holiday. The Ministry of Ecology has united us all into one big family."
The republican contest "Eco-leader", the main purpose of which is to attract public attention to environmental safety issues, as well as to encourage environmental protection activities, has united tens of thousands of caring residents under the banner of ecology for 20 years of its existence. This year, three absolute winners were also determined at the competition.
PJSC Tatneft named after V. D. Shashin was recognized as the absolute winner in the competition group "Organizations and individual entrepreneurs", in the competition group "Local governments" – Vysokogorsky district, in the competition group "Environmental Education" – MBU DO "Children's Ecological and Biological Center" of the Yelabuga municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
