Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan again went to Uchitelskaya Street in the Volga district of Kazan

12 October 2023, Thursday

According to the information received from residents of the Privolzhsky district of Kazan on the fact of unauthorized waste storage on Uchitelskaya Street, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan promptly went to the place. During the survey of the territory, the fact of violation of environmental legislation was confirmed. Inspectors found cluttering of the territory of the container site located on lands with undefined state property.

A warning will be sent to the Administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts about the inadmissibility of violating environmental legislation and eliminating the landfill within 60 days.

Also, next to the above-mentioned container site there is a closed area where production and consumption waste is stored. A request about the owner of the land plot will be sent to the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan, as a result of which measures will be taken within the framework of the current legislation.

Let us recall that this is not the first complaint received about the dump on Uchitelskaya Street. So, in 2022, complaints about unauthorized storage of waste have already been received. During multiple visits and raids, employees of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology revealed the facts of cluttering container sites. Violators were also caught throwing waste from vehicles.

Letters were sent to the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan with information about the need to eliminate the landfill. For non-compliance with the requirements of the warning, a claim was also sent to eliminate the violation.

In November 2022, on the instructions of environmentalists, the liquidation of this unauthorized landfill began.

Since the problematic issue has not yet been resolved, the Ministry plans to carry out work of a claim-based nature in relation to the Executive Committee of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts.
