7 tons of waste were collected by the participants of the "Clean Games" in Kazan as part of the School Cup of Cleanliness

More than 900 schoolchildren cleared the territory of the Noksinsky forest in Kazan. Children from Kazan, Atninsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsk, Laishevsky and Pestrechinsky districts of the republic took part in the games. The cleaning took place in the format of the quest game "Clean Games" within the framework of the ecological tournament "School Cup of Cleanliness". Olga Artemyeva, Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, came to wish good luck to the participants of the game. She thanked all concerned for their participation: "We appreciate your contribution to our common great cause. From the bottom of my heart I want to express my gratitude to you for your participation in the clean-ups! Your dedication and energy inspire our residents, and we are very glad that you are with us."

In an hour, schoolchildren collected 7 tons of waste – this is 763 bags of garbage, including 89 with metal, 195 with plastic, 236 with glass and 243 bags of mixed garbage.

Following the results of the game, the KVST team from Kazan became the winner.

The event was held with the assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The School Cleanliness Cup is a tournament among students of educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. It is implemented by the Clean Games – Tatarstan team with the support of the Movement of the First. Within the framework of the tournament, participating teams will pass 3 stages: environmental competitions in the format of "Clean Games", an online marathon on the platform "Another Matter", an environmental quiz based on the Bashir Rameev IT Park, as a result of which the best school teams will receive not only prizes, but also additional opportunities for development in the environmental volunteering.
