On the Day of the Ecologist, a marathon of green deeds was held in Naberezhnye Chelny. 300 bags of garbage were collected by caring residents of Naberezhnye Chelny on clean-ups throughout the city
Tatarstan has joined the interregional eco-marathon dedicated to the Day of the Ecologist. The banks of the Kama, Melekeski and Shilny rivers were cleaned in Naberezhnye Chelny as part of the All-Russian ecological campaign "Ecosystem: Marathon of Green Affairs" and "Water of Russia" of the national project "Ecology". The organizers are the Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the city administration.
Damir Minegaliev and Leysan Mukhametdinova, young naturalists from Naberezhnye Chelny, were among the first to clean up: "We gathered on the bank of the Kama River to make the city cleaner. Congratulations to all residents on Ecologist's Day, we are together, because ecology unites!"
Through the joint efforts of concerned residents, activists and volunteers, 300 bags of garbage were collected, of which 100 bags with glass, 75 - plastic and the rest - unsorted waste.
"Residents of Naberezhnye Chelny always actively support environmental actions and events. We always go out to the banks of the Kama Rivers and clean up garbage, because we are rooting for the cleanliness of our city," said Vladimir Tovma, director of the Children's Ecological and Biological Center No. 4.
