Every year on April 19, the world celebrates a beautiful spring holiday that has already become traditional – Primrose day. Snowdrops are the first flowers that appear after the winter cold, symbolize the beginning of spring. Specially for this day, ecologists of the territorial departments of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan have prepared various activities for children.
So the specialists of the Zavolzhsky TA conducted classes for pupils of the Buinsky kindergarten "Svetoforik" and students of the gymnasium named after M. M. Vakhitov. The children were told interesting facts about the flower. For example, the fact that snowdrops can withstand a ten-degree frost, and a kind of "cover" of thin hairs at the base of the stem helps them in this.
And environmentalists of the Volga-Kama department told students of the 4th grade of the Bazar-Matak school of the Alkeevsky district about the diversity of snowdrops and how this flower is called in different countries.
Specialists of the Northern TA met with primary school students of the Nuriner school of the Baltasinsky district and held an informative conversation. The children learned what kind of plants they are, how and why they bloom so early.
In Menzelinsk, activists of the Eco-time environmental detachment of school No. 2 held an action "Take care of primroses". They created bouquets themselves and distributed leaflets to local residents urging them not to tear primroses.
