Today, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with journalists, again went on a raid on unauthorized waste disposal sites as part of a sanitary and ecological two-month period.
The first point of the raid was a dump on Kulagin Street, 23 in the Privolzhsky district. "Both construction and household waste are illegally brought to this site and dumped. Even documents of one of the large enterprises of the republic were found among the garbage. Warnings were sent to the owners of vehicles and the Administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts to eliminate the violation. Since the company whose documents were found is an object subject to federal environmental supervision, within the framework of the Law on the Delimitation of Powers, all materials will be transferred to the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor for taking measures within the framework of current legislation," Anna Salakhova, senior specialist of the 2nd category of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology, told reporters.
The next point of the raid was an overcrowded container site at the intersection of Rubezhnaya and Chernoozerskaya streets in the village of Mirny. Several violations have been identified here at once. Among them is an unequipped container platform. The Ministry's specialists sent warnings to the Administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts to eliminate the violation.
According to Oleg Domrachev, head of the Department of State Supervision in the field of use and protection of water bodies and land supervision of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, administrative responsibility for untimely waste removal lies with the regional operator.
"According to one of the Kazan container sites, damage caused to the environment has already been brought against the MC "PZhKH". Legal proceedings are underway now," he explained.
Let us recall that since April 1, a sanitary and ecological two-month period has traditionally started in the republic. The main goal is the sanitary cleaning of the territories of settlements, the identification and elimination of landfills accumulated during the winter period and bringing the territories into proper ecological and sanitary-epidemiological condition after the snow cover. During the two weeks of the sanitary and ecological two-month period in Tatarstan, the supervisory authorities of ministries and departments revealed 1,371 violations, 730 of them were eliminated, 298 protocols were drawn up, administrative fines totaling 130.5 thousand rubles were imposed. 693 places of unauthorized waste disposal have been identified, 345 have been liquidated.
Information about violations detected by citizens of the republic is received by the Republican Public Environmental Reception through all communication channels. The public reception received 1,183 applications.
Since the beginning of the two-month period, 38,566 thousand cubic meters of solid household waste have been removed by municipalities, 87,642 thousand people and 1,377 units of special equipment have been involved in cleaning the territories, 10,447 trees and shrubs have been planted, roads and bus shelters are being cleaned.
