Specialists of the Zavolzhsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with representatives of the RT State Committee for Bioresources, aerated an unnamed lake near the village of Adav-Tulumbaevo of the Buinsky district as part of the action "Fish will live! (Balyk – Bulsyn!)". Timely implementation of such preventive measures provides an additional amount of oxygen in the water and allows one to preserve fish stocks in reservoirs.
"Snowy and frosty winter creates difficulties for aquatic inhabitants. Due to lack of oxygen, the probability of fish starvation increases. Therefore, at this time of the year, our employees traditionally carry out aeration of the reservoirs of the Republic," says an employee of the Zavolzhsky TA.
To supply oxygen to underwater inhabitants, environmental protection specialists drilled more than 50 holes along the coastline, and to prevent the holes from freezing, they inserted reeds into them. Let us recall that on the eve of a similar environmental action was held on Lake Verkhniy Kaban. Holes are traditionally drilled here, since a few years ago a massive pestilence of fish was recorded on the lake due to lack of oxygen in the water.
