Pre-school children of Buinsk and ecologists help birds stay warm in winter
"We are the main friends of our birds, who find it very difficult to find food for themselves in the cold winter," - this is how the eco-lesson began for the pupils of the kindergarten "Solnyshko" in Buinsk.
Employees of the Zavolzhsky territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology came to visit the kids to tell them how to help our younger brothers in winter. "When the temperature goes below -10 °C at night and blue tits lose up to 10% of their own weight overnight! But even in the strongest frost, birds can survive, provided that they have enough food," the specialists of the department explained to the children.
The kids told environmentalists how they feed the birds every day on walks together with childcarers and parents. Employees of the Ministry brought the children food for birds and presented them with feeders from the "School of Ecology".
