The Alley of Friendship between Russia and China. The green symbol of partnership was laid in Kazan today
The symbolic alley of Russian-Chinese friendship was laid in Kazan today. With the participation of Tatarstan Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov, Secretary General of the Chinese Alliance for High-Quality Development of Future Education Jin Wenjun, Minister Plenipotentiary, Trade Representative of the People's Republic of China in Russia Liu Jun and guests from Hunan Province Changsha, 12 seedlings of blue fir trees were planted in Gabdulla Tukai park.
As Alexander Shadrikov noted, this is an event that has become a landmark within the framework of the International Forum: "By planting trees today, we symbolize the growth of international cooperation between Russia and the People's Republic of China. As Confucius said, if you want to invest in eternity, invest in people. That is why our friendly relations, strengthened over decades, are becoming the basis for dialogue and economic prosperity."
The Minister of Ecology, during a conversation with journalists, said that Tatarstan is a region where great attention is paid to issues of economic, social and environmental well–being and development. Large-scale socio-economic projects are being implemented with the support of the President of the Republic Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov.
Over the past 30 years, with the growth of the gross regional product (GRP) by 3 times in comparable prices, the reduction of emissions from enterprises amounted to more than 20%. Such environmental parameters have been achieved through the introduction of modern production technologies. Tatarstan enterprises and the state policy in general are aimed at implementing the principles of a green economy. Tatarstan is also actively working within the framework of the national Ecology project, implementing large pilot projects aimed at preserving the environment.
II International Forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China – mutually beneficial cooperation" takes place in Kazan from November 13 to 15. This is a platform that provides participants with the opportunity to share experiences, expand contacts and develop cooperation in various fields. More than 50 business sessions are planned to be held within the framework of the Forum, the culmination of the business program will be a plenary session – "Russia – China in the global economic game".
