The Menzelinsky district Court satisfied the claim of environmentalists for compensation for damage caused by sewage

The fact that household effluents entered the soil was revealed by inspectors of the Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology in the Menzelinsky district in July 2023. Then the overcrowding of the sewer well led to contamination of 20 sq.m. of soil.

Based on the results of the presence of excess in the selected samples, environmentalists calculated the damage. A claim for a total amount of 78 thousand rubles was sent to the owners of land plots.

Due to the failure to take measures for voluntary compensation for the damage caused, the Ministry of Ecology appealed to the Menzelinsky District Court. During the court proceedings, the damage caused to the environment was fully compensated.
