Today is the World Day of Environmental Education
Every year on January 26, the World Day of Environmental Education is celebrated in all corners of our planet. The issue of environmental education in the modern world is so acute that the World Day of Environmental Education is celebrated several times a year. A lot of work is underway in the Republic of Tatarstan on environmental education of the population. Since 2018, 103 environmental education centers have been operating in Tatarstan, where the Ministry's specialists regularly conduct environmental lessons. In 2022 alone, 10,138 Tatarstan children attended 466 eco-lessons. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, in 2019, the Ministry jointly with the association "Tatarmultfilm" developed and implemented the project "Ecology at School" for environmental centers. The textbooks "Green Path" for students of grades 1 and 2, "Green Tatarstan" for grades 5 and "Green Tatarstan. Plants around us" for grades 6, as well as the republican educational portal "Green Tatarstan" http://зеленыйтатарстан.рф /.
Environmental movements are actively developing in the republic. Today, 9,609 participants are among the participants of the youth eco-movement "It will be clean". And the movement of young naturalists of Tatarstan has 2000 participants. Last year, within the framework of the signed Agreement between the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and the UNARMIA VVPOD, more than 37 thousand young soldiers joined the movement of young naturalists.
In 2022, more than 300 thousand people took part in measures to clean up coastal territories in Tatarstan, 34 thousand cubic meters of garbage were collected. Now every third Tatarstan citizen is a participant of environmental events and campaigns.
Let us recall that for the second year in a row, Tatarstan residents have become winners of the All-Russian campaign on cleaning the shores of "Water of Russia", organized within the framework of the national project "Ecology".
Tatarstan residents prove their ecological literacy at the Eco-Dictation. For two years, the Republic has been the leader in the number of winners of the first degree, so last year Kazan became the main venue for the opening ceremony of the environmental dictation. Last year, 100,935 Tatarstan citizens took part in the environmental dictation, and 43,161 people received diplomas of I, II, III degrees.
