An illegal snow dump was revealed by environmentalists in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal about illegal storage of snow on M.Mil Street in Kazan. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration together with employees of the Central Department of Environmental Supervision of the Ministry went to the address indicated in the appeal. The fact of environmental violations has been confirmed. The area of the polluted territory was 198 sq.m., the volume was 257 cubic meters. Snow samples were taken by specialists. According to the results of biotesting, polluted snow has been identified as a hazard class 5. Minor excesses in oil products and chloride were detected.
A warning was sent to the executive committee of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts about the inadmissibility of violations and the need to take measures to eliminate the snow dump.
