More than 3 tons of batteries were collected by the residents of Naberezhnye Chelny
In the Kama territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, a campaign to collect spent power sources was held. In total, 44 schools, 4 kindergartens and the Naberezhnye Chelny "Children's School of Theatrical Art" took part in the campaign. Together, we collected 3 tons of 260 kg of batteries, which were transferred for disposal.
The most active participants of the campaign were students from Pushkin Lyceum No. 78, they collected 624 kg of spent batteries.
"Without proper disposal, one finger battery pollutes up to 20 square meters of soil and up to 400 liters of water. Proper disposal protects the environment from pollution. After all, this current source decomposes for up to 100 years," environmentalists reminded all participants.
