Earth Hour has saved 15 megawatts of electricity in Tatarstan. This is enough to illuminate the whole village

In Tatarstan, the illumination of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, Kazan City Hall, City Hall, buildings of Ministries and departments, as well as theaters, state institutions and administrations of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was turned off for the duration of the campaign. The aim of the project is to draw attention to the need for a careful attitude to nature, reasonable consumption and saving of the planet's resources. More than 2 billion people around the world take part in the action annually in 188 countries, the illumination of more than 18 thousand architectural monuments goes out. The action is held annually, on the last Saturday of March on the initiative of the World Wildlife Fund.
