The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the "Scientific and Production Association for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Republic of Tatarstan" State Institution, within the framework of the state task, begin work on the audit of water intake wells for economic and drinking purposes in rural settlements. Currently, the State Assignment is in the process of approval. The list of districts where the audit will take place includes Arsky, Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Kukmor, Laishevsky, Pestrechinsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Sabinsky and Tyulyachinsky districts. The main tasks during the audit are to determine the availability of drinking water sources in rural settlements, assessment of the technical condition of water intake wells (springs), availability of documentation, assessment of the hydrochemical composition of the extracted water. The result of the work will be recommendations necessary to provide the population of rural settlements with high-quality drinking water from underground sources and springs. The audit of the remaining municipal districts is planned to be carried out in 2023-2024.
Let us recall that in 2021, as a pilot project, a survey of the Kaibitsky and Apastovsky districts was conducted in order to objectively assess the real situation regarding the technical and sanitary condition of water intakes and the quality of drinking water. During the field work, samples were taken for chemical analysis from almost all available water points. Based on the results of the survey, these municipalities will be presented with proposals for adjusting and optimizing the water supply schemes of the districts, as well as recommendations on the feasibility of organizing search and evaluation work.
