Environmentalists discovered an unauthorized snow dump in Kazan

The Ministry received an appeal from citizens through the "People's Control" system about the unauthorized dumping of snow on M.Mil Street in Kazan. Employees of the Central Territorial Administration together with representatives of the administration Aviastroytelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts were checked out at the address indicated in the appeal. During the survey of the territory, the fact of environmental violations was confirmed. Experts selected samples of contaminated snow for hazard class and toxicity. According to the results of biotesting, polluted snow belongs to the 4th hazard class, and 4-fold excess in sulfates, chlorides, and petroleum products were also detected. The area of the polluted territory was 400 sq.m., the volume was 410 cubic meters.m.

In relation to the administration of the Aviastroytelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan, a protocol was drawn up under Part 1 of art.8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Non-compliance with requirements in the field of environmental protection during collection, accumulation, transportation, processing, disposal or neutralization of production and consumption waste". The case materials were sent to the Aviastroytelny District Court of Kazan for decision-making.
