The Republican ecological and educational campaign “Unified ecological lesson” will be held on May 12 in all educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan and it will be devoted to the International Day of ecological education.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, participated in the celebration devoted to the honoring of veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Apastovo district. About a thousand citizens and guests of Apastovo gathered on the meadow of the district party. The Minister congratulated those who were present with the Day of Great Victory and wished strong health, happiness and buoyancy.

Today inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with public inspectors conducted a raid to the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan. Restricted access to Kazanka river and its coastal band was revealed in Rabochaya street caused by installation of perimeter fencing on the territory of the Water-rowing center “Synthes”. A fine in the amount of up to 300 thousand rubles is envisaged for this violation in compliance with article 8.12.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Failure to comply with the terms of assurance of free access of citizens to the public water facility and its coastal band”.

Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department visited Tsaritsyno village, Bakhetle street 28a, in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign, where an unauthorized landfill was formed as a result of untimely waste removal. The area of littered territory amounted to 100 sq. m. At present, the work on identification of people involved in this administrative violation is conducted in order to bring them to responsibility.

Experts of the Department for Environmental Protection under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected the work of the closed-loop system (installed at the filling station of “Tatneft – AZC Center” OOO on Amirkhana street 21a in Kazan) for discharge of oil products with collection of motor fuel vapors from reservoirs and fuel-dispensing units into road-tankers for the purpose of further removal of vapors and their recuperation at petroleum depots. At the moment of fuel discharge, fellow workers of the Central specialized inspection for analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew air samples on the territory of the filling station and on the boundary of a sanitary and protection zone of the filling station near residential buildings. By the end of 2014, it is planned to equip all filling stations of the company “Tatneft – AZC Center” OOO on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan with the systems of recuperation.

The campaign “Day of forest planting” organized by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan is held today in the Republic. More than 1 million seedlings of pine, fir tree and birch will be planted on this day in cities and districts of Tatarstan. Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the campaign held on the land plot of Kadyshevo village. More than 300 seedlings of coniferous species were planted by efforts of ecological specialists.

Today, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took active part in the campaign “Green Saturday”. The territory of the forestland in Derbyshki village (the site of bitumen spillage in April 2013) was cleaned in the framework of the Saturday work campaign. As a reminder, on October 12, about 1,200 seedlings of pines, mountain ashes and birches were planted on this territory by efforts of the Ministry of Ecology. Today, 300 seedlings of coniferous species were planted as well.

The campaign on wastepaper collection “Save a tree” will be held today in Kazan by a public organization “Help another one”. Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the campaign aimed at attraction of attention of citizens of the Republic to the problems of ecology and recycling of raw materials.

Today, in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign, an inspection tour around Kazan Region of the Gorkovsky railroad and the adjacent territories was made on the following route: Kazan – Kurkachi – Yudino – Zeleny Dol – Kazan. Management of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Transport and Public Road System of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Gorkovsky railroad, representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer rights protection and human well-being for the Republic of Tatarstan, Administrative and technical inspection of Kazan, representatives of district administrations of Kazan, as well as Vysokaya Gora and Zelenodolsk regions of the Republic inspected sanitary state of the easement area of the rail facilities. In the course of the tour, 57 sites of unauthorized waste placement were revealed. The greatest amount of violations accounts for horticultural societies and garage cooperatives of Zelenodolsk, Vysokaya gora districts of the Republic and Kirovsky district of Kazan. The acts were drawn up with regard to the revealed facts of violation of the nature protection legislation, and the work on their elimination should be completed within 10 days. The recurrent inspection tour is planned for May 8.

Pupils of the “School of Young Ecological Specialist” visited a zoological museum named after Eversman at Kazan (Volga) Federal University. The tour was organized by fellow workers of the Department for Ecological Education and Interaction with public organizations under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event is aimed at fostering of ecological awareness and formation of ecological culture of the population, study of the outside world, promotion of careful attitude to the world around us. Fellow workers of the museum conducted a tour to the world of ichthyofauna of Tatarstan and Russia, and the dwellers of the sea bottom, the terraqueous and the reptilians, birds and the mammals.
